An intro to AI
Hello! I am Anushri Iyer/ AI (seems fitting for the topic I plan to write about doesn’t it? ). I am a 17 year old who currently lives in Mumbai, India. I am fond of languages, writing , Artificial Intelligence and these days I like to dabble quite a bit into philosophy. Not only has AI shown me a world of new realities, it has also made me realise that this technology can be instrumental in understanding our own consciousness and intelligence.
AI Scholars was an extremely insightful program and my experience was simply great! Being able to utilise the concepts learned in real-life examples along with the final project helped me learn about the applicability of AI. My instructor Mr Eric Bradford guided me with topics such as Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing, Neural Networks and more. Then I got to work on a project regarding AI + Ethics with Ms Lindsay Sanneman where we tried developing non-biased models for use in Criminal Justice. This was an interesting and interactive process due to the different ethical questions that came up during discussion.
I plan to write blogs about the application of AI in the field of Art, specifically how AI is now being used to create paintings . I will also be talking about the ethical questions it raises in a field whose foundation is an innate human quality—creativity. I will also be exploring how these AI models are created and what the future of AI in art possibly looks like.
I believe that anyone interested in the applications of AI and the impact it has on different domains can benefit from these blogs. I hope to share something interesting and learn more about this topic in the process!
